Im a freestyle kickboxer and I was wondering if what my teacher was teaching me was correctly, he makes the class do a 10-punch combo.(Which is fine) but he keeps on changing the order and adding extra moves in.
Can someone please tell me if there's any combo like this in thier martial arts:
jab, backfist strike, reverse punch, uppercut, hook punch, ridgehand(knife edge), chop, hammerfist.
Thank you

As far as a set move. Na however you can put anthing together and make a nice combo. Its Martial ARTS not Martial Scirence. Art is up to each person to make his onw. In science there is fixed moves. I often mix up several hand strikes like that in my Shotokan class just to teach the kids on changing hand postions. Also makes them think. LOL... Lots of times multi punch and kick combo are not fighting combo but combos to build speed and like I said change hand postions. Good luck....

Now, if he were constantly changing around the moves in your forms and saying "it's always been this way"...THAT's when you need to worry.

Although, keep in mind; my instructor will sometimes alter forms to make them look better. However, he does inform everyone of the changes and admits that they happened
