cool,
i never knew that its good to stretch afterwards,
i must give them a try , so by doing this , will you be able to kick head height when your lets say jus woke up and havent done no stretching for the past 12hours,
by doing after stretches does your body become generally more flexible?

That is natural though... just rub your muscles and relax. If anything breaks dip it in salt water, if anything is sore dip it in Epsom Salt.
Its like Karate Kid all over again...

Ad no, that sort of kicking cold comes with Dynamic stretching - Doing 10 swings forwards, side, and backwards with each leg twice a day and you'll notice gains within 8-10 weeks.
Also when muscles ge tired and use up oxygen, Lactic acid is produced. I'm not sure on all the technical details, but a good cool down and stretching session after a training session helps with removal of this Lactic acid, which is the cause of the soreness.
Also as Bon said, eat something with protein after a workout to help the muscles rebuild! |
