This weekend I re-trained as an ITKF Karate Judge/Referee. Lots of new rules since I competed but essentially like riding a bike.
Will be competing/officiating at the ITKF National Championships in Dallas June 8-10. If anyone is in the area...feel free to attend. Interesting to watch at any rate, and there will be no admission fee. _________________ I come to you with only karate.

Good luck to you!
Its also cool to see you got back into officiating. I have judged at many TKD tournaments, and I know what it can be like. I have the greatest appreciation for the judges. _________________ Success is where preparation meets opportunity.

dancingsteve, Good luck in June. I will be doingt the same thing up north in the AAU Karate Regionals on April 14-15 and then in Winston Salem the end of June for the Nationals. It's always good to get back into competition from both sides. Everyone always blames the oficials but they don't have an easy job. And the pay is not too good either.
Thanks,
Sensei Tom |
