Hello guys, I don't know if any of you remember me. I was on the forum for a short time, around August- Oct. of last year, I began my training in Shotokan around that time. I've reached 9th kyu, and would be at least 8th kyu by now but I just went through a period of about 3 moths away from my training.. I left my job and was unable to afford to keep training.. However my Sensei recently invited my to return back to class free of charge for now that is until I move off to go to college after this summer. So just this week, I began training again and made my return to class.
I'm also training on my off days with some of my tai-chi friends and their instructor.. and seeing as its middle of the summer and not their actually in class the instructor is training them and me, "old style" for free. My first day with them was on Monday and it was quite fun, we did a lot of bo-staff work outs and i got hit with a Kendo stick a few times. We tossed around and and trained with 4 by 4 planks, that was quite fun but my arms have been sore for two days becuase of it.
It was quite enjoyable training outside at night by a pond, very good setting for mediation and training. If I may say so...
Anyways I'm being long winded and ramble, I was just want to say Hi to everybody, and anyone that might remember me, I'm hoping that returning and being active in the forum will keep my motivated during my training. |
