I just read that Big Tim Sylvia has been released from his final fight on his contract. He will be going to a new promotion Adrenaline which was the short lived M-1 Global. Sylia stated that he only has 3 or 4 years left in the game and wants to fight as much as possible.
The new promotion needs a big name to draw in American veiwers since they lost Fedor. You can check out the article at mmaweekly.com
Maybe Big Tim will finally find fans that will respect him for the fight he is. |

M-1 is still around isn't it? I'm getting so confused with the vacuum that was left behind by PRIDE. _________________ Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.

| M-1 has disolved. I think they sunk all their assets into their first and only show and had major problems getting the card together. |

Is he going to be doing only stand-up fighting now, or is he still looking for the MMA fight? _________________ Success is where preparation meets opportunity.

| He's still wanting to fight mma as far as I've read. He figures he only has somewhere between 2 and 4 years left in the sport and wants to fight as much as possible. His new home has and open end stipulation in their contracts which allows their fighters to fight in an promotion they want. |

Well Syliva has done something right in his career he has racked upa24- 4 record. 16 wins by (t)ko 2 submissions and 6 decisions. His only losses have came by 3 subs and 1 decision. The guys he's lost to were at the top of their game when they defeated him those being Mir, Alovski, Couture and Nog. The better half of his career was spent in the UFC and fighting top notch guys at the the time. He has defeated the like of Vera, Arlovski (twice), McGee, and Ricco.
I personally am NOT a fan of his because as previouslystated he is a boring fighter to watch. But if he would fight to win and not to loose he would make more exciting fights.
Also he has the chance to put himself in the position to be the number one fighter in the world if he beats Fedor in July. |
