Does anyone use bodyweight training equipment. For the uppper body, there is not much you can do with bodyweight besides pushups. Latesly suspension training became popular. TRX, USA and Gymnastic Rings are leading the pack.

Don's forget about chin-ups and pull-ups. This guy demonstrates a number of ways to utilize a chin-up bar.

That was freakin' cool!!!
Don't forget about dips, either. Those are good for the upper body, too. _________________ Success is where preparation meets opportunity.

Upper Body: Push-ups, Dips, Pull-ups (and variations), Chin-ups (and variations), Hand stand push-ups
Lower Body: Squats, Step-ups, Pelvic Raise
Whole Body/ Core: Plank, Reverse Plank, Side Plank, Sit-ups, Crunches, Back Extension, Leg/Knee Raise, Flutter Kicks, Reverse Crunch
With the purchase of a physioball you can increase the number of things you can do exponentially. Do you tube searches for functional training, Bosu training, and phyioball/wellness ball training. They should give you thousands of ideas.
On the topic of the USA...it's a good piece of equipment. We have them at the gym I work at. _________________ "When you come to a fork in the road, take it."

Toss in some rings to the above ideas as well. You can hang them adjustably so you can do pullups, dips, push-ups ect. They really work you. Additionally, you can hang them at alternaing heights for all the above exercises for variation.
Consider if you have a place to hang a rope as well. Rope climbing really is a great body wieght workout. |
