Christians and Ki/Chi

Wow! so many differing ideas.Some I agree with some I don't but it's interesting to see what everyone thinks.

I think that all "chi" can be explaned through biochemical/mechanical/physiological and other natural force.
Thanks everyone for helping me figure out what I belive on this subject.

This is an interesting subject to say the least and everyone has made good points thus far! Our bodies contain many mysteries- it's our choice how we use them. Intent is everything.

Documented how? What is documented exactly? Those are exercizes, as I recall, to increase the ability to withstain impacts, yes? But some of the ways that one would 'show invulnerability to damage" are known stage magic tricks.

I'm not saying you have to believe, as I'm not even sure whether I do or not, but I have seen what some of these masters can do. Some of it has been documented. Unfortunaly, I have no documentation that I could show you, so I wouldn't really listen to me either. All I really want to get across is that our bodies are capable of some amazing things in conjunction with our minds. Should we call this chi? I don't see any reason not to. Chi has no mystic behind it, that is from movies and terrible cartoons. Chi is simply paths that energy moves through your body.

Chi is phylosophy, not religion.
it is in everything in the universe. Anyone can learn to use it. Not everyone achieves it.

anyone who tells you that Chi training goes against your christian beliefes is wrong.

hello i am new i was reading this nice comments everyone has there views on chi and if it is real fake wrong or right think of it this way instead of wondering y not go out there and look for yourself saying chi is not real is just foolish but saying it is real is just as bad chi is something that must be self tault for one to use it u must find your own path to it, u can think this is true or not i noticed once i found this out i was able to use chi,ki (same thing). i have not learned how to control it but when i get angery or scared i lose control and i have harmed my own brother i knocked him back into a chair he blacked out woke up and and said "that was a nice rest" like nothing happend i think god has given chi to use there is nothing wrong with it. It it just some ppl can use it, others do not belive in it, and a few can the reason y is that u must push through your own weakness and hardships in order to start using chi. But anyways nothing is wrong with it do not take my word for it test for yourself if i goto hell so be it i tried and was wrong. I am not saying i am right just look for the answers cuse asking ppl is just going to bring confusen. peace

actually rojen, that doesnt really sound like Chi Control, sounds more like something else I read......... not to be discussed here, but, keep searching, there are various teachers out there who could help you but they are selective about their students

i'm not entirely sure what i believe about ki (chi) and am waiting until later in my training to make any evaluation...

i'm a cathlic christain and have never had any problem with believing in both ki and christianity...it's crossed my mind several times that perhaps ki and God are essentially the same thing? why not? going more into the spiritual realm-has anyone read the "Power of Intention"? it details a net of energy that can be tapped into and is always working for the good of the universe. Deepak Chopra also talks about God in conjunction with a network of energies he calls "soul" always working for good.

can your soul be ki? and if so, can God be your soul? then can God be ki?

or is ki a neutral enegry source? in which case ki COULD be soul because it's inside of everything and you sort of affect it...right? ki is often referred to along with "aura" etc so it can't be too much of a stretch...

as to the holy spirit and ki...if ki is neutral i don't think that's possible since the holy spirit works for the GOOD of the universe. so if ki is neutral and ki can be tapped into and used any which way and since the holy spirit is often said to "transform" and make holy etc that wouldn't quite work...

but i could be entirely wrong. who knows.
