I have been playing with the lock down alot more lately. It has helped out my half guard in breaking down my opponets base. It has helped me keep control of my opponent and slowed down any guard passing giving me time to sweep.
I baught Eddie Bravo's Mastering the rubber guard dvd. back in April or May and finally got it a few days ago. It has alot of intersting stuff on it about his style of playing the half guard, I picked up some intersting moves that I have played around with.
Just wanted to share my experience. |

| Now the lock down is something I find very useful and came accually give people fits with. My wife got me a copy of the book Mastering the Rubber Guard for my birthday. For this to be a book of grappling technique is it very well laid out. I just can't afford the dvds unless someone burns a copy for me. So I make do with what I have. |

The book is really good. You can do alot of stuff with it. The video is nice also.
I like the lock down also. Helps out not getting passed and lets me get to my side for a minute to work my sweep game. |
