By winning.. sometimes just being a good-looking person. Talking big sometimes work.. being humble sometimes work. Really, what you need is to win the media, then you'll win the people. The general populous is a mob and will base opinions on media talk. It's just like Matt Damon, he's not good-looking at all, but the media says he is, so therefore most ladies think he's hot. Win the media and you will be famous.

The gift of the gab is big plus, alot of good fighters get forgotten because they dont talk up the fight, look at the biggest names in boxing they always talk it up.
The media love *,take a big look at the WWF 50% talking/30% soap opera/20% action and check out the crowds, television sales and product merchandising and none of it is real fighting..just good marketing.
Some fighters also just have that magic thing called charisma. |
