It will be some time before my current gi is worn out. I hope. _________________ "Those who know don't talk. Those who talk don't know." ~ Lao-tzu, Tao Te Ching

Just to keep people informed. I used oxy clean spray on the stains. It worked. Mostly. The stains while not gone are greatly diminished. I do not plan on using it after every use, but when the staining starts to get bad. _________________ "Those who know don't talk. Those who talk don't know." ~ Lao-tzu, Tao Te Ching

I'm a sweaty dude, and I have trashed countless undershirts and t-shirts over the years. I've since moved to CertainDri antiperspirant. It's pretty heavy-duty, and might be a little harsh for some... but I haven't had any issues with pit-stains ever since the switch. I use it in conjunction with a non-antiperspirant deodarant, as it is unscented. _________________ 5th Geup Jidokwan Tae Kwon Do/Hap Ki Do

It's the aluminum in deodorant that causes pit stains. Since switching to aluminum-free deodorant (Arm & Hammer Essentials), I haven't had a single pit stain. |

I've found scrubbing lightly with Oxy Clean spray works quite well on the pit stains and yellowing around the collar/lapel.
My Shureido K-11 is about a year old now, and zero yellowing. Gotta love the Japanese gi cotton. |
