Hey folks...I didn't know if this should be in the weapons column or not...
I'm grading for my Blue belt in a week or so. I am pretty rusty on my weapons katas for this level. (thought they were only optional until recently)
In Kata Ge-ki-sai ichi no sai and Ge ki-sai ni no sai, I'm confused on how to proceed to the parts leading into the middle reverse, high reverse, low open and middle reverse before the 180 degree turn. (This is the part where in the normal Kata would be double block X2, elbow strike, back fist, low block and 180 degre shuto (sp?))
Is there two steps (L&R open sai moves) prior to this set of moves? My feet seem switched up somehow...wrong foot is forward for the kick.
It was clear in class this morning, but juggling 4 recently new Katas in my head has made it difficult to remember at home.
Any advice would be appreciated? |

Especially since your grading in a week, you should get with your instructor on that. You don't want to take advice from us that may be different. I'm sure your instructor will be understanding. _________________ "When you come to a fork in the road, take it."
