judo schedule: M 2hrs, W 2hrs, F 2hrs randori
mma: T 2hrs, Th 2 hrs, F 2hrs randori
i saw the randori session last friday for judo and mma...adjectives would be: intense, tough, mentally overwhelming ...and brutal
...and i went to my first mma session ever. Today we actually did 100% grappling techniques, and we learned fundamentals of the phases (free, clinch, grapple) and ways to submit...etc
..i of course felt like a fish out of water very awkward and overwhelming.. but that is expected i assume....mat burns hurt! -especially when you're hairy!!...damn spanish blood!
it would have been nice to do a little striking but im sure thursday will be mostly that.
tomorrow is my first judo session...im using my thick karate gi. i hope it doesnt rip!!! |
