ok, well i looked through the last few pages and didnt see anything so im sorry if this has been posted before.

i live in new york and its a law that you're not allowed to purchase nunchuks. so, i figured i'd make my own... except i dont know how.

has anyone here ever made nunchuks before? if so, how did they turn out. could you tell me how to make some? i really would love to learn to use nunchuks but it would be very difficult to get any into the state.

if you have any pictures of the nunchuks you made that would be cool to see, just to get an idea of what mine might look like. im so ticked off i have to make my own. there are so many nice nunchuks out there for like 15 bucks and im not allowed to buy them.

im looking to make a regular pair of wooden nunchuks with either chain or cord... whatever is easier to make. doesnt matter what kind of wood...

i just want a basic pair of nunchuks that are gonna last me a long time till i can buy some real ones.

thanks

I made a pair when I was 13. Used a wood mop stick.....cutted 2 pieces according my forearm size.
Then....went to a hardware store and bought a good solid chain and 2 ´q´ shape special screws.
After assembling it, I did put some black tape on the wood to get a confortable hold and to get a good look .

By the way.... I have seen a lot of chuks in china town ! But I have been there 2 years ago....
