Looking away and swinging? i'm sorry but you might aswell not of strated martial arts if you gonna fight like that. I think a big problem with many MA's is that their happy to go to the lessons and learn and train but when push comes to shove they dont use what they've learnt because A. deep down they dont think it will work B. they arent confident enough to use it. My advice is that IF you have to fight again hit him hard and fast and do not stop. Lay down a flurry of punches on his face and be contolled and cool about it. By the sounds of it the guy you fought was doing the same as you, so he obviously was a very bad fighter, but if you have control and face him ie. dont look away and hit hard and confident, with the intention to hit him and make contact then you should win. In the mean time keep training and keep working out. Seeing post like that sadens me and I makes me think of one thing: "Mcdojos" - not trained properly. _________________ "When my enemy contracts I expand and when he expands I contract" - Bruce Lee |

Why did he tell you to shut the hell up? Did you somehow intentionally * him off? If not, then what you did was right, just poorly executed. remember, FIGHTING HURTS, better get used to it now while your biggest problem is still "bullies." Also, have confidence in your abilities.
Now, you are still a yellow belt (if your display is current and correct . . . by the way, if anyone could tell me how to change that, i was by much obliged!), so maybe you DON'T have the skill to win a fight with someone that much larger than you. That's okay. Evaluate youself objectively, and be realistic about what you think you are capable of. Maybe now is still the time to avoid violence as best as possible.
Even if you can beat him, don't think about what you will do to him when you se him next, think about what you could have done. If a fight is truly the best solution to a problem, then fight with total commitment, but NEVER seek an opportunity for one, especially after the conflict has passed. |

I hope you're not proud of this. You could have simply walked away. _________________ I don't have to be the best, just better than you!

The colour of the belts come from how many posts you've written. When you reach 25, you'll reach yellow belt Eric_ |

Just a quick note: I havent fought since then, i still see the guy every now and then but we just ignore each other.
I'm definitly not proud of what happend but atleast ive learned a valuable lessen in when to fight and when not and about the fighting itself.

Im glad you realize your mistake but neverthe less you need to understand why people were giving you a hard time. The entire conflict was based on anger and from how you stated it, it appeared unessisary. |
