Do you expect a person who trains in one style to know the exect spellings from another style? I think if it sounds right it should be marked right - especially as this was a "from memory" quiz. Also - don't forget, the correct spelling of an oriental word is a set of Kanji - not a word written in our alphabet. There are quite often several acceptable spellings e.g Kung Fu / Gung Fu.

ALL answering is now closed. Heres a question: Should I go for EXACT word or try to give typos the right answer? Like dolly/dollyo(right) and sabumnin(right)/sa buh nim.
I would like some opinions on this issue.

Close is good enough for the Korean language. Some books spell a word that reflects how it is pronounced. Too many dialects are present in that part of the globe. |

| I agree. As long as it's close phonetically. |

Hello,
I have read every answer and made ths justification of right/wrong. Any question in which there was more than 1 request answer was awared 1/2 point if you got some of it right, regardless of how much. 1 Point for each answer deemed 100% correct. 1/2 point for each answer deemed at least partially correct. Sorry if some of you are not pleased with the results, but thats how it goes. I tried to give the benefit of the doubt in all cases.
Here were the answers:

Water

Morihei Ueshiba
3. Is Kung Fu more linear or circular?
Circular

Dollyo Chagi
6. Who did Bruce Lee learn his Gung Fu from?
Yip Man
7. What level does TKD start at - 10th, 9th, 8th, or 7th gup/kyu?

Napoleon Fernandez
16. What is the ceremony that is performed to pay homage to a thai boxer's teacher called?

17. Why was Judo created, and by whom?
Jigoro Kano , and to reduce injuries for students training in Ju Jitsu.
18. Chin Na is a style of which Martial Art style?
Kung Fu
19. Chi Sao is the practice of what?
Answer being Sticky hands.
Here were the results:
Sharks
Karateka 7 1/2 Points
ZR440 3 1/2 Points
ramcalgary 0 Points (DNP)
Team: 11 Points
Mag Six
SaiFightsMS 13 1/2 Points
KSN Doug 5 1/2 Points
YODA 16 1/2 Points
kicker 0 Points
jamesdasher 0 Points (DNP)
Team: 35 1/2 Points
I believe that some of you could argue points where you think you were right or wrong or whatever. But, the deficit between the two teams is so far that it wouldn't make a difference in the result of the challenge.
