Just how light and how durable are these swords? How do you test them for durability? I've been looking for a worthy katana for some time now.

I would think weapons might be a better place for this.
But, I do have a pair of light weight sais and I love them.

The weapons are VERY durable. They are manufactured for movie companies. Thy are esigned mainly for training and competition though..not for banging against each other. But they will be well worth your time...believe me.
The swrds are "FEATHER" light....I personally use a Highlander sword with one of my blades on it....its light as hell, and looks good when I compete
Any more questions?

You can see an example of one of my swords..its located at: http://hometown.aol.com/koldsteel504/myhomepage/profile.html
wejust switch out the steel blades for our aluminum ones. The result is a sword that looks as beatiful and as strong as a steel blade, but without the cumbersome weight.
