I want to point out that this isn't my article. My friend Iain Abernethy was kind enough to let me post it. Check out his website for more great articles. _________________ www.iainabernethy.com |

Well, submit 'em all!
I'm sure whichever of your articles you decide to post that it'll be an interesting read. You seem to be a pretty knowledgable person. _________________ "Was it really worth it? Only time and death may ever tell..." The Beautiful South - The Rose of My Cologne

Thanks, but I need much more knowledge to gain...
Which brings me here...sort of speak.
I am researching for a book that I am writing.
In actuality, there are two.
Because my writings are not published, I am a little reserved on posting them for copy-right reasons.
Shall I be concerned with that on here? |

Good artical,It is good information for someone thats new like myself to learn for M.A.I know there are many good targets below the belt like kness, shins, and groin. But I would also ad that groin shots at women are also very efective. And my female instructor also agrees with me as well and encourages me to use them against other attacking women if need be.Because I also live in a area with alot of female gang members. And at on time I used a groin strike for self-defence against a threating gang women. She left her genital area exposed!? And to know surprise one good strike up into her groin droped her to the ground pretty hard. And she was in absolute agony holding her genitials and gasping for air!! So as I already knew they could be used efectively against other women.Especaily when they don,t expect it! I would also say I have also unfortualy been kick in the groin in the past but not in karate class, but It did crumple me to the ground in such absolute agony!!!And I was also incompasitated and hard to even breathe for for about 30 minutes and still had pain even days later:o But we do wear groin protection in class(but it can still hurt alot even with protection) and kness are also off limits.I know how serious a groin shot can be from personel experence!I had a female friend who was kicked hard in her groin and she did go into shock/unconsciousness!And later the doctor said if the groin kick was slighty harder it might of killed my friend:o So I do see that your artical has some good facts and some that I already knew. I also would like to read more of your post in the future.

No, a kick to the female "groin" area is not the same as a male. Yes, it will hurt them, as any other hard kick place in any area that is "soft".
Shock is the word for such a female to become unconscious.
Groin shots in a real siutation are least likely to happen. And some males can continue to fight when kicked there. However, jab and grab with the fingers is a different story. Not to mention to bite "them off", if being raped w/ oral situation. |

I can agree with this. I have been kicked in the groin hard enough to lift me off the ground. After the kick, I continued on like it never happened. After everything calmed down is a different story altogether. The pain hit me all at once and I was out of commission for a little while. If you're a male, once you get into a physical altercation, you are thinking about getting hit in the groin so your defensive reaction time to that area is quicker. It doesn't mean they won't try, you'll just be "ready" to defend that area of your body. |
