For quite a while I have been interested in visiting one of those Martial Arts schools in Thailand, they're kinda like a bootcamp.
I was wondering if anyone has any experience of them? and stories? good or bad...
I don't want to get all the way out there and find that they're no good or basically just set up for tourists. |

There are several old threads discussing some of the various camps people here have been to if you do a search. I went to a training camp in phuket last summer for 2 weeks and must say it was a great experience. If you go you should plan on spending a few extra weeks staying at guesthouses around bangkok and maybe Chiang Mai. Get the newest lonely planet guidebook. The exchange rate is so affordable in thailand that once you are there, you might as well stay a while if you can get the time off of work.
