haven't read this whole thread yet, but shockdocktor makes some awesome mouthguards. Brainpad is decent, but I couldn't always get them to fit right. you can custom fit most mouthguards these days, but if that absolutely doesn't work for you, talk to your dentist about getting one made.

If it makes you gag, then it is not fitted properly.

I few people at our club complain of the gagging.
I've never felt that. Ive got one that covers the top and bottom teeth, which make it hard as hell to breathe.
I intend to ask about a dentist made one at my next appointment.

Mine is "Shock Doctor" Place it in hot water, then on your teeth, then dunk it in Cold water.I too have your problem and my Mouth guard does fit.

My Sensei told us that we can also go to the Dentist and have one made. But they do cost more doing that way.

After many years of wearing a lot difference kinds, I had my dentist make one for me. The comfort factor alone is worth every penny!

Hehe, my first one was so badly mangled, it looked like a piece of badly melted plastic.

The first one I did came with my gear, It was a spoon full of goo. Then I got another one, it makes me gag and drool really bad.
