What do you guys think is the best art for movie making? In my opinion it would be a kicking art with mixed punches and throws. _________________ The amateur shoots his hands out ferociously, but lacks any true power. A master is not so flamboyant, but his touch is as heavy as a mountain. |

i thikn, in a film, the style becomes irrelevant and it becomes more about how it looks and what you want to show. some will apreciate the precise moves of wing chun for close up but then for wider angles, more flash will be better.
check out the first police story for some kick * fight scenes. _________________ post count is directly related to how much free time you have, not how intelligent you are.

So what does that say about Wushu as an MA? _________________ "It is easier to find men who will volunteer to die, than to find those who

Well looking best on film is a matter of opinion. I agree it looks great on film, Jet Li comes to mind. But I'm a big fan of Samuraii films and that stuff is beautiful too. Not nearly as flashy as Wu Shu, but beautiful never the less. If Segal movies weren't so cheesy Aikido looks good on film too. I think the reason you say Wu Shu looks best on film is that most of the great MA movies come from Hong Kong and that's the choice MA for Hong Kong MA movies. _________________ "It is easier to find men who will volunteer to die, than to find those who

true!
I too believe it is a matter of opinion.
but also that a movie, and the MA portrayd in a movie, should not represent the validity of it in a defense situatoin.
WuShu has always been"flashy" I think the arial forms make to alot of that too. but yeah, Segal movies do rock!!! _________________ the color of a belt, can be a false sence of accomplishment. |

Stephen Lee do you study Wu Shu? Why, in your opinion is it flashy? Are there reasons for the flashy moves or has it become flashy? I'm very interested. What style of MA does Jackie Chan do? _________________ "It is easier to find men who will volunteer to die, than to find those who
