| I was taking TKD I was only a white belt they put me with another white belt who was also a former wing chun (sp?) student. He was from the bronx, any way he ended up cracking two of my ribs. I was thought he was a real a$$hole, pardon my language. But a couple days later we were talking and I relised thats how they trained in wing chun. You just go all out, only if you have to fight. And boy could he fight. On the street and in the class. I couldn't face him after two knock downs. He ended up taking on a 3rd degree black belt and winning in our class..and he gave are best students a sparring event from hell. ANd it turned out he was only regarded as about average in his school. His teacher was this chinese man who was apparently one BAD dude. Anyway you can't go wrong with Wing chun, thats the only kung fu I have seen. One fight I would like to see is Wing chun vs. BJJ. |

| And who says you can't learn anything from a white belt? Sounds like he had a lot to offer. More than most had bargained for. |

I think he's talking about Wing Chun... Be it in a quite vague and unsubstantiated manner. I guess he's a Silat guy. _________________
