Just wanted to share. My school in Hempfield, Pa. www.lfmac.com hosted The Red Rose Rumble RGDA BJJ competition. I managed to make 2nd place in men's master's division.
Ist opponent, I won with an Ezekiel choke, 2nd, I won with an armbar, lost my 3rd match, then had to go again with guy from first who also lost one. Ended up winning just barely by a decision. ( we were actually tied on points but I was ahead on advantages) and lost to the same guy I lost to the first time in a match for first place due to a triangle.
Overall it was a lot of fun. _________________ "You know the best thing about pain? It let's you know you're not dead yet!" |

Sounds like a great time. Was the tourney for RGDA schools only? If so, I didn't realize they did that. Congratulations on the tourney. _________________ "When you come to a fork in the road, take it."

Congrats! It sounds to me like you did well. You describe it like a double elimination tournament. I like that idea, that way, everyone gets at least two matches. _________________ Success is where preparation meets opportunity.

Yes and that was the way it was intended.
Yes PS1 they were inteded for RGDA only although they did make an exception to the rule for women since there were only two RGDA women BJJ students and they were both from my school so two of the girls from the Judo club I also attend competed as well. And they took first and second place _________________ "You know the best thing about pain? It let's you know you're not dead yet!" |

Yes there were two guys from my school taking pics and video. I have my NAGA fight from April taped from the same guy so hopefully i can get these as well. Still waiting to hear back from him. If I can get them I plan on putting on on my myspace. _________________ "You know the best thing about pain? It let's you know you're not dead yet!" |
