Pressure points are very useful. However on well built people with lots of muscle mass they are hard to get. However if you stick to the basics like the groin they will work. LOL...

Well unless you do that crazy Combat Ki stuff I saw on tv they took shots to the groin. They are more a man or should I say less a man than I am.

LOL

pressure arevery useful in the right cercumstanses. they can be used as a good detraction to use before a throw (like the center of the wrist)

Recently I put myself & some of my students up against some "pressure point" JJ guys in sparring - all-in, do what you want mode

It hurt - it hurt a lot. They dug their thumbs into our temples & under our ears etc as hard as they could. They punched their knuckles into our tendons & pressure points. It hurt like hell but guess what? We didn't let go. We took the pain & we choked, armbarred, heelhooked & generally mauled them at will. Another factor we noticed is that they gassed out VERY quickly - so-called black belts gassing out after less than 2 minutes!!! I had guys with less than a years training tapping out 2nd degree black belts!

The day after we suffered no ill efefcts after their deadly nerve & pressure point strikes. Guess we'll all drop dead in a few months though
