Because said cereals are fortified with vitamins and nutrients....it says so on the box! Plus adding at least 1 cup of milk turns sweet cereal into the most important meal of the day. If mothers would simply add a cup of milk, or orange juice with Cookies or chocolate bars they would become a valued food source and a breakfast favorite.
Here's one that's been bothering me....why do waitresses always seem to ask"How is everything?" when you just jammed your mouth full? _________________ http://prkickboxing.tripod.com |

Little does the general public know, that holding your hand in front of your mouth is the International Waiters and Waitresses Guild's symbol for "I'm ready to be asked 'how is everything?'".
If your waitress appears to ask you 'how is everything?' the instant you stuff food into your mouth, that is the sign of quality service, and you should frequent that restaurant often.
Why do people say "awfully good"? Which is it? Awful or good? _________________ Dean

Cuz of the prefix- awe. If the prefix was destructive like "anti", etc. it would be more obvious to a person's speach. Thereby indicating that something is so good that it would fill someone with "awe". Then again, "stike and awe" isn't such a good thing either. My theory, is that some jerk invented the phrase when he was trying to politely give his opinion on his mother-in-law's cooking - and to this day, we use the phrase without thinking twice.

The inability to tell the difference between caviar on a cracker and ketchup on a Kit-Kat. So a maddness that can strike but once a year in Norway.

Wouldn't you hate looking like a pile-of-crap wormfest, ugly and monsterous. Your humanity is taken from you, so you estabilish your disgust at uncontrollable perceptions you have with your environment with vengeful growling. You hate who you are, you hate what you see because you can't see very well anyways, and you don't feel right at all.
Why do some people think that consciousness, and self awareness is something that can be assembled like a computer chip? _________________ "An enlightened man would offer a weary traveler a bed for the night, and invite him to share a civilized conversation over a bowl of... Cocoa Puffs." |
