| interesting. if u hang round outside to make sure the lady is ok he might think bad and try something. but if u just go then something might happen. but if i had like 24 years of training i would just hang round abit in a corner. |

Somehow i dont think the guy poses any threat to you so i'm guessing you would hang around in a discreet but visible fashion just to ensure the shop attendant is ok.....but then again.....

It's kind of hard to analyse the situation from what you've written.. Body language plays an important part.. He picked a fight with you for no reason, unless he thought you were gay and hitting on him by letting him go through the door first. If he was going to cause trouble in the shop, it wouldn't make sense to draw attention to yourself as the only customer walks out.
I don't think I would have been as controlled as you & would have retaliated after he barged me. It would depend on how hard he barged though, I'd either laugh it off or retaliate most likely if he posed as a threat to me.
If I thought he posed a threat to the old lady, I wouldn't move and just stand outside watching him.. Otherwise, I'd laugh and walk away unless I'd retaliated already..

| Hmmm its just words so far... though a little more distance would be good...also need to get into a position where you have a better view of his intentions. Rather than being back on to him So far you have made no threatening advances verbally or physically so he wont be fully alert to any actions you might make.... |

Well, in real life I probably would have just walked off, shaking my head and chuckling at some peoples complete lack of couresty and awareness of their actions...
Why is everyone assuming the guy is about to rob the place? I thought he was a worker just knocked off, come to buy a beer?
But what actually happened? I don't know... you shook up your beer can so you had a portable blast weapon available to spray the guy in the face?
Tell us? |
