Hey everyone. I'm about to buy some sparring gear, and I was thinking about getting the ProForce lightning hand and foot guards. Has anyone ever used it? I was also thinking about getting this for headgear (click) has anyone used this? I'm new to ordering this stuff, so i'm just looking for some opinions. Also, where's the best website to order all of this online? Thanks!

Hey Yumiko-

I'm afraid that I haven't had any experience with that brand, but it does look like a quality product. Also, as long as the face plating can hold up, I could see it being better then the grates that you usually see as it improves your vision range.

As for me personally, I've used Adidas sparring gear during my TKD days and Everlast for boxing gloves in my MMA sparring, however both times I bought it locally instead of online. The times I have gotten products from the internet have been through some of the more popular online martial arts stores, and although I've never used that particular site it is used enough that you probably shouldn't have a problem with them.

Budo Nord has lots of great, high quality sparring equipment that I’m sure would meet your needs.

Here’s a link to the headgear : http://www.kachi-do.com/budo-nord-headgear-head-protection-head-guard-ce-approved-blue-p-1347.html

And these are my favorite hand and foot guards : http://www.kachi-do.com/budo-nord-point-ekf-karate-fist-guards-karate-mitts-blue-p-1398.html

http://www.kachi-do.com/budo-nord-ekf-karate-foot-guard-foot-mitt-only-blue-p-1416.html

It’s a little more money, but I believe the protection would be superior, and the equipment would last longer too.
