Two big karate goals this summer for me.
1. Medal in at least one event at Nationals in July.
2. Get my Sandan. (I just found out I'm grading in August) _________________ "Karate is a form of martial arts in which people who have had years and years of training can, using only their hands and feet, make some of the worst movies in the history of the world"

Well..good question. I have both Karate goals and other goals. For karate it will be to train and prepare for our demo in July, also to put in extra training to prepare for my second dan next summer!
My other will be to study hard, i have my exams coming up this summer and i REALLY NEED to pass because i have worked hard and put things (including Karate) on a back burner.
After this i think it will be time for me to relax and have lots of garden parties...i think i will deserve it.. _________________ Walk away and your always a winner. www.shikata-shotokan.co.uk |

Lose about 15 lbs., get my leg healed up & start running again, learn the 3 remaining forms I need in prep for my 4th Dan (even tho that 2-3 years away), try to get my current school stronger & start another school.
No much, really. _________________ Being a good fighter is One thing. Being a good person is Everything. Kevin "Superkick" McClinton |

Well I would also like to loose weight. Around 20-25lbs... But I'm afraid to make it a goal because I think I'll fail. _________________ "Why do people think success is how high and fast you reach the top? Isn't it really how high and fast you bounce back when you hit the bottom?" |

Win the local Daiymo's favor by destroying his enemy. I'm going to set his enemy up to commit a faux paux against me, then fight him in a duel for honor, which will win me the Daiymo's support and allow me to usurp the officials in my local province and install my own students in their place and thus give me the political position to destroy the competing dojo and his students without any fear of reprisals from the local government...
oh, shoot, this is the 21'st century, darn! I guess I just have to try to get in better shape.

REALLY?!?! Mine too!
On a more realistic note....
Get back into shape. I used to be able to do a 6.5 minute mile. I'd like to do that again.
Improve with weapons, learn a couple of new kata (Kusanku Dai, hopefully, and for weapons, Gyosho no kun (bo), and *maybe* a new sai or nunchaku kata?) _________________
