Now it just maybe me on this one. But mainland Japan had no REAL striking arts, but hudreads of Ryu's of Jujutsu and Aikijutsu, plus loads of weapons schools. Aside from Ninjutsu I dont really know any JAPANESE striking arts. So what Chinese arts could have effected them. I only ask because I am looking for books on Chinese Martial arts.
The same goes for the Kobudo, they have no major grappling arts, so were they effected by different Chinese arts? Is there a sort of north-south divide?
Any thoughts
Be Well
