Man, my abs are sore today! Whenever I sneeze or cough, the pain just surges through my core! Perhaps I should continue these new exercises...

I took my son to the park near our house today, and while he was running around, I decided to try to do some pull ups on the playground equipment. I can't do a pull up yet, but I did a few partial ones, and then did the monkey bar swining, working on my pull up muscles. I think I will try to work on this on a regular basis.

TKD Testing: 6:00 - 7:30. Testing included a demo by the Black Belts. Demo included basics, some one-steps, some Ho Sin Sul, and some board breaking. I did a jump 360 degree round kick, through two boards. We also demonstrated our forms for the audience. Testing when well for the students, and we had one that tested for 1st Dan. Her technique was really good, and she nailed her board breaks. She also did well with sparring.

TKD Class: 6:00 - 7:00. Class was good tonight. Sparring was so-so. I got to class about 30 minutes early, so I spent some time working on my form, which seems to come and go for me. I also spent some time working on some defenses with a friend of mine. After that, I noticed that my knee felt twisted, and it wouldn't support my weight! I was able to walk it off, though, and made it through class. Basics were changed up a bit, and we did a lot of moving up and down the floor. We got a good workout, and got winded.

I don't normally post in this particular thread, but I had so much fun in class tonight that I've go to tell someone!

We started off with some kicking drills, one-step and three-step sparring. Then came the free sparring. I hadn't free sparred in a while because school and other commitments had taken up my time. However, I finally was able to tonight. I was a bit rusty, but I got to work with some lower ranks at first. I worked mostly on my blocking with them. Then I got to spar with my instructor. Oh, was that fun. We exchanged some shots (light contact), I made some mistakes (I like to call them "learning opportunities"), and, at one point, we ended up on the ground working our grappling a little. Did I mention I had fun?

Sounds like a great class, Ed!

TKD Class: 6:00 - 7:00. Basics went quick today, because we got started a bit late. In sparring, I focused on my front kicks.
