Another post that has nothing to do with the Intenral Arts - but we don't have a Psychology/Philosophy forum so here goes
How many of us are guilty of playing the When - Then game?
Many people play the "When / Then" game.
WHEN this happens THEN I'll do it.
WHEN I get this THEN I'll do that.
WHEN so and so does this THEN I'll do that.
WHEN is NOW

I am a typical teenage procrastinator and I find myself waiting for certain situations to take action - actually becoming a more aggressive person in general as far as things I need to have accomplished was one of my new years resolutions . |

Try "Assertive" instead of "Aggressive" and you'll be on the right track

I am guilty of that all the time. I am working to overcome this but it is a constant struggle. There will always be a tomorrow. It's so much easier to acknowledge a problem than to fix it! aaaaaaaa Even though the first step is just as important. |

I never knew it was considered a game
hey well I sometimes do that but not always so it isn't bad if you do it once in a while.

| The first step is the hardest. For me, planning what I am going to do sometimes takes much longer than what I am actually doing...it can take you 30 minutes to read directions to put together a birdhouse and only 15 minutes to actually do it. |

And it takes Months of rigorous training to prepare for the big fight, that is often over within an hour at max.
YODA, I do what you said sometimes, only when whatever the second thing would be, would be better off with the first done beforehand. If you get my drift |
