How about "under-estimating" a 60 year old 2nd dan female .... Ouch! Yes, I did that last night. She put me down HARD during self defense (take-down part). It's a good thing I knew breakfalls. I needed them working with her!
She never goes easy on me, but last night she went all out on me ... Wow! _________________ Laurie S.

Doing a kihap (kiai) that sounds like a dead cat or a mouse that got stepped on ..... then again if you want a good laugh out of the others you would |
I did that during my grading. I have allergies and they make my voice crack at random times. To my horror, it cracked when I let out a loud kiai after an impressive attack. It ended up sounding very much like a mouse being stepped on. The other blue belt testing with me was having a hard time keeping a straight face.
Never decided that the black belt infront of you is good for target practice. _________________ External training without the training of the mind is nothing |

I've another one for you....
Don't hit your instructor in the face while executing a counter to a two handed choke hold (or shoulder grab) from behind. I was supposed to trap his arms, but ended up smacking him upside the head and nose...... HARD.
His words were that it worked..... he did let go.... which was the correct end result.... but I felt so bad about nailing him, I didn't mean to do that. _________________ what goes around, comes around |

I was a blue belt in class one day and there was a thunder storm. I stoped to look at the lightning for a second and my insturctor said, "Wow that last lightingbolt was HUGE(or something like that)!" and I said "yeah."
...
Lets just say, I wont do that agian. _________________ "Sword-Chucks yo."

don't ask your instructor if you can have nicknames.
had a kid ask that once, and as i try to not laugh at my students, i cracked up...then said no. lol _________________ "Smile. Show everyone that today you're stronger than you were yesterday." |

here's another one: after a while of having a uniform and in dire need of a new one, don't ask your instructor if you could buy a new costume.
had a parent ask me that once, i almost choked her... _________________ "Smile. Show everyone that today you're stronger than you were yesterday." |
