KSN Doug, are you really a proud practitioner of Kuk Sool Won?

Do you know a Frank Bumstead from Michigan?

I do practice Kuk Sool Won, however I don't really let pride enter into it.

I know of PSBN Bumstead, since he runs a dojang there, but I don't believe we've ever met. I started my training near the world headquarters in Houston, then moved up to Connecticut. I've never had the oportunity to visit any of the MI schools.

LOL my friend (a Brazilian Jiujitsu practitioner) punked out Bumstead badly.

Just thought you'd like to know.

I appreciate the information, but that doesn't really concern me.

Here's a serious question, why do Kuk Sool Won guys have turtle necks on their uniforms?

Good question, just a little off topic of this thread. I'll answer it quick here, and we can either start a different one on uniforms under general, or you can PM me for details on mine alone.

The high collar is only on the "General's" uniform. That's the fancy uniform for ceremonies, promotions, demos, etc. We wear a regular dobak for training.

I've got a lot of respect for the origins of BJJ and how well it's performed in MMA competitions, but it's far from the be all end all of martial arts. It doesn't help that the most verbose practitioners seem to lack the intelligence to make a decent argument about it.

I still don't think it'd work well against multiple attackers.

name a martial art that would actually work well against many attackers ,

and bjj might not be so good for multiple attackers but you'll definately be able to defend yourself and escape,

and who said bjj worked against multiple attakers, even RORION said i would pull out my gun

An art using powerful, crushing, fast, precise strikes to vulnerable areas (we could name a bunch of arts like that) would probably do much better against multiple attackers. Never ideal, but better I think.
