There is a bill that is moving along in the Tennessee government, that would "legalize and regulate mixed martial arts" in the state. Thought some might find this interesting. Read more here.

The bill has passed a Senate Finance Committee vote and will now go for a full senate vote.

This bill has passed the Senate. Now, the Senate and House have to go over any differences before it gets sent up to the governor.

Cool. More avenues for MMA will help with its popularity, to be sure.

Here's to hoping this one passes. Once it does, it would be good to see some amature action starting up in the area. The few fighters I hear anything of end up traveling to KY or GA to get their feet wet.
