The statement was made that I had met him in 1997 at the San Shou Nationals...he was not fighting the man has to be at least 50 years old.
I would'nt say fighting with gloves is "equal terms" especially for someone who has conditioned his hands to the extent of Master Pan.
I'd like to see Cung Le fight Alex Gong....
And possibly Erik Paulson fight Peter McNeely... |

Gloves on are equal terms. Even if his "iron palm" has foam coving it, it will still be extremely hard, right? His iron hand will still strike much harder than a "normal" hand through the foam and cause the damage. But you know what, take the gloves off and I still think that Gong or Paulson would wipe the floor with any "iron fist" or "iron palm" fighter.
I would love to see Cung Le fight a top-notch Muay Thai fighter. What would the rules be though, hmmm. I think we should just have Cung Le fight MMA (no rules) against a Muay Thai fighter. I don't thinkn Cung Le could handle the likes of Alex Gong.

Gloves are designed to dispurse the force of impact...a disadvantage for an "iron" fighter to wear. Wearing boxing gloves is a disadvantage to almost any non-ring fighter.
Paulson could'nt beat McNeely in my eyes... he's to busy promoting his seminars, and talking about shooto, as that's all he ever really won anything in.
Cung Le in Gong would be an interesting match; however, in NHB competition I think Gong would get schooled. Straight stand up who knows... |

| San Shou is more of fighting on the ring and I don't think that he want to fight on the ring. It is apart of kung fu and many styles and forms of kung fu. It is not training in san shou. |
