I've visualized myself performing a kata, and I believe this has helped with memorization.

I have started using a little visualization in the gym when I am lifting. I put the weight on, and then visualize lifting the weight, with good form, and with moderate difficulty, even if it is heavier weight. I'll keep it up, and see if I notice anything.

That is a good way to do it. I used to visualize mine when driving on Interstate by myself for hours at a time. It helped to keep me awake.

I think it can help you by making you more alert and you would be able to remember certain aspects of the art better.

After you get over looking like a complete fool (jumping around shouting "kiah" on your own) I think it's highly beneficial, whether you go through the moves while doing it or not...

hmm visulization. I have..a very active imagination. And it gets activated easily. This one guy was talking to one of my friends and I was near by and they were having some..conversation I can't rememebr much. and he said "imagine me dead" (or something to that effect) and what happneed? I imediately imagined him dead -.-;

ggood point to an imagination like this: I can imagine anything. Including fighting from 3rd person, though it happens more often in dreams for me.

bad point: can imagine anything..including that...ermm... >.>;
