So open a week now, still things to touch up and I have played with the seating 4 times but we are pretty set now. Notice the custom benches, I found a great guy to do them for me in trade for lessons for his kids, he plays with wood as a hobby, what a talent. Anyways, 12 students and hoping to make it happen, we'll see...

Breaking in the new studio. Getting ready for our first kickboxing class doing some warm ups. This is my daughter yes sges wearing a black belt, before we overthink it, shes a black belt after 2 years in a class for just 6 and 7 year olds. When she's ready to move into the full karate program she will start at white belt so it does not carry the same weight. This is my daughter who was only 8 and this is her first time doing this type of pad work so take it easy on the breakdown of technique, she certainly has her hands a bit low LOL. She has a great deal of talent though.

Jealousy shouldn't be what you feel lol. It was a huge decision to open up a school coming from a rec center. It has been an incredible amount of hard work to get things going. It's hard to see from the outside but MAN the work to make things successful is intense. It's a choice though. Anybody can make the move, you just have to be honest about weather you believe you can pull people in and keep them there, and the rest will follow.

Thanks guys comma I move things around several times trying to figure out what to do with the seating but I think the seating looks great now. It cuts into the mats which is something I hate but because our program is so popular with the kids two seats were filling up with parents and I had to do something.

I still have some quotes to put on the walls and stuff like that but I'd say we're 90% finished and this is how we're going to look for some time. Now it's all about getting them in for classes. Thanks again for the compliments guys

Again, Lex, looks great! You've done quite well with the space given. As your school grows, you'll have to figure out what to do with the seating space. However, it's an easy fix, or it seems to be from my point of view...add class times to accommodate growth.
