I don't use any music for any reason in the dojo because I'd be way to easily distracted by a great song. I'd stop meditating and/or training because I'd want to sing along with it...play the air guitar...play the air drums...or whatever else instead of what I'm suppose to be doing...like training!

personally, I dont use music when meditating. I use it to calm me down or to pump me up, but thats not really meditating to me. plus, Its hard enough for me to sit there and empty my mind, and would be imposible with music. I would be humming it lol.

Everyday music for me that I find relaxing is Gregorian Monk chants. I also like listening to flutes, classical and a few other things.

For meditation or training. No music.

I find that I don't use music unless I'm haveing trouble focusing the I may use some soft music with no vocals.
