first weapon I started was the chucks but didn't get far with them, so got a pair of sai instead...much better:D gotta get used to the chambering with them though... haven't had them long already drawn blood with them.. but that was my mates fault!!

First of all you need someone to train with otherwise you wont get anywhere, i think that the stick or bo staft is a great way to start off with , then wen you become better you can upgrade to a more advanced weapon.

Sticks (canes) / staff are the best places to start.

Yeah sticks and staff are good to start off with and are easy to find. Also because anybody can use a knife/sword lethally.
