Hi guys just wanted to make a mention for my sensei. Sensei David Grice just passed his sixth Dan. As far as i know he did it over 2 days and was very hard and graded by some fine masters! At 61 i have the utmost respect for him and hope to continue having him as a Sensei for a long time yet! _________________ Walk away and your always a winner. www.shikata-shotokan.co.uk |

Thanks guys. I was really surprised because when he was telling us about it he was saying how nervous and scared he was and he was tense and couldn't relax. I was just thinking..'What, you, scared? Never!' Just cos i can never imagine him being scared, but i suppose we all do. _________________ Walk away and your always a winner. www.shikata-shotokan.co.uk |

I hope that I can still nail a physical testing at the age of 61! That is cool. _________________ Success is where preparation meets opportunity.

Me too Bushido. What a great accomplishment for him! I also have never looked at my instructor as getting nervous for his rankings. I bet he does too. Of course it has been some time since he has ranked. _________________ Live life, train hard, but laugh often. |
