Its not just the terror in people that the media are causing all this coverage just makes people who are complete pains in the * start sending hoax to p**s people off like where i live one of the smallest towns in england a 70 year old woman!! has been sent to jail for sending hoax anthrax letters i mean 70 years old jesus and if they trying to make it look like real anthrax letters why would they be sending them in Carlisle England...its just pathetic

OK...just this morning Nov.21 another case of inhalation anthrax confirmed here in a small town in Connecticut (NEXT TOWN OVER FROM ME!)
The victim? A 94 yr. old woman who only left her house to go to the hairdressers and grocery shop and that was it!
Looks like I'm gonna go hungry for a while and have alot of bad hair days ahead of me!
Really this is quite puzzling ... and now getting too close to home.
Hey taezee...you started this thread....what do you think?... is this all isolated??? Is the media wrong? ... Are we in a panic unnecessarily?

deby i feel that its really not isolated at all now..but we need to determine who is doing this..theres alot of sick people out there and they do not necessarily need to be affiliated with any terrorist group..this could be some sick americans..i still feel the media blows things out of proportion in the name of ratings..i detest some of these reporters..just two weeks ago when we had a plane come down and crash into some apartment buildings there were these reporters sticking thier mikes in peoples faces as they ran from thier burning homes asking them how do you feel ? how do you think someone would feel watching all this happening..idiots !!!!now getting back to the initial topic anthrax..i havent really heard anymore reports about it as a matter a fact its seems the whole country is letting the events of the last few months fade..we shouldnt do that..we cant forget we are at war and also that these *******s arent finished who knows what they got planned next/weve got to maintain our guard..and remain vigilante in rooting out those individuals who are blended into our society with bad intetions...

I live out here in midst of things.....yup out the middle east
There were 3 american companies which got white powder sent to them in my neighbourhood, and it turned out to be anthrax. So i dont feel particulary safe myself...
Also, I read in the newspaper yesterday that the powder in US cases had been traced back to the US Defence department. Is this true?! of just media hype? |

There is alot of information going around in the news about anthrax and the war on terrorism. Information is passed from one reporter to another, and sometime they do not check out their sources. Their was a topic on Bin Ladin's nuclear capabilities on CNN, and traces of anthrax trace back to the Department of Defense. But what is all of this suppose to mean? Nothing, it's just talk. For me, I watch CNN for an hour before I go to college. If I do not hear about the same subject again at 9:00pm. I forget about it. Most Americans should go on with there daily lives, which the media has greatly imphasized. HEY, enjoy the holidays.
