SO I am absolutely positive this topic has been broached but It thought I would wade through this stream anyway. A while back as a way to play with my rokushaku bo I decided to try it with bassai dai and I had a blast. I had always thought that most of our empty hand kata could be doe with weapons as in how in Kali a stick strike is the same with a knife and a fist. so I am curious if you guys have played in this sand box and if you happen to have a video please share!!!! I wil start OSU!!!

That was interesting. I've just started to practice bassai dai and I don't do any weapons training but it made more sense to me with the Bo:)

Wow that was great. Bassai "dae" as I know it is my favorite form. Really crazy to see it done with the staff. I was able to easily follow all of the movements and connect them to the weaponless form... Neat stuff thanks for posting.

Thanks yeah I love doing it with a staff. The flow of the kata really works well with the movments of the bo. OSU!!
