I've just sent for a new weapon; a frontier style tomahawk.
Its design is that of a 18th century axe weapon as used in combat in 18th century America.
Has anyone ever trained with one?

Not outside of Cowboys and Indians unfortunately. www.Coldsteel.com has a cool pdf on it though, it seems pretty legitimate.

Looks like fun! It would be a blast to learn.

On a side note, in the movie The Patriot, with Mel Gibson, he fought with a knife and tomahawk combo. I know its a movie, but I wondered if perhaps they sought out someone knowledgable with the two for somewhat accurate fight scenes?
