As an instructor, I would like to hear about it. Both if you fought, or if you managed to avoid it.

I need to hear how you managed either way, and what I could have done better in the past to train you for these situations.

De-briefings are good for instructors and students alike. A good class idea would be to reconstruct the scenario from start to finish, and try to find ways to avoid the confrontation and then work up to the actual confrontation, and working on defenses. Lots of value to be found there.
