I heard form the little newspaper and told by my buff friend that heavy lift lifting can make a growing person's spin crash down and stunt their growth. is that true? heavy as in 6 reps of all your might (not easy).

my brother trained with heavy weights in the summer and he did grow at all now he stoped and he grow 1 inche. i dont' know if it has anything to do with heavy weight lifting thou.

Heavy weights are not recommended for those whos growth plates are still active.
The pressure on the plates may prohibit them from normal growth.
