|
|
Hi!
Ive been in the internal arts for many years,
...but thats not why I am posting this.
I guess, I have been able to find many of the old "classics"
on the internal arts by Sun Lu Tang, except his fourth
book: the esoteric way of the martial arts.
Apparently he tried to put down what he knew about the internal
arts, but evidently only he knew what he was saying.
Anybody eles know where to get more of these works,
like Jiang Rongqiao, etc..? _________________ -Pa Kua Chang (Baguazhang Practioner)

Many different MA suppliers carry books, but so do some of your local bookstores. Amazon.com might even have it. I have to leave here in a sec so I don't have time to search for you (sorry), but maybe that will give you a start. _________________ 1st dan & Asst. Instructor TKD 2000-2003

... actually the problem you are going to find with these "classics" , are that many of them are not yet translated or that very few are available for purchase. Try your local library .... (everyone seems to forget about those buildings that contain kazillions of those hard-to-find square objects filled with paper!)
As far as Jiang Rongqiao, wasn't sure what book you were interested in but you may find a few here
http://www.plumpub.com/sales/taichi_books.htm also books from Sun Lu-tang. In his lifetime he commercially published five works on different forms of martial arts that he was skilled in ... not sure if "the esoteric way of the martial arts" was book four or not
Your best bet is actually to go directly to a publishing house (in this case in Taipei) which most undoubtedly will offer un-translated books.

OR Go to LION BOOKS....one of Taiwan's best martial arts publishers...

You may not find that particular book but I'm sure you will find something that catches your interest! |

Unfortunately I have no idea where to find that text. Most of the classics are hard to get your hands on.
Best of luck in your search. |

I want your library . Mine is pretty nice but I wouldn't say they have anything hard to find... especially where MA are concerned . _________________ 1st Dan Hapkido

Do you think there should be a good specisialised Martial Arts books web store?
Although Amazon is good, there is no other really reliable alternative. |
