Any body know where I can find free instructions on making a hakama?
Anyone ever made one in the past?
My Sensei told me I have come to the point where I can wear a hakama
But traditional Ninjitsu says Everything You use in Ninjitsu must be made and since my sensei was trained by descendants of Iga Ryu Ninja and sticks to traditional beliefs. Therefore, the only way I can take pleasure in the privilege and honor of wearing one I must make it.

WOW, thats a big task. I have no idea, most Aikidoka have embraced modern mass production methods.
Ninjutsu is an amazing style. Just an idea but is there a website that you could email? Perhaps you Shidoshi could tell you of some. |

Maybe if you go into a dressmaking shop, show them a picture of a hakama and ask if they could explain to you how you could go about making one yourself.

Ummm do you think a dress shop would write out exact instructions or just point me in the right direction???
I'm a very good seamster(If thats even a word I figure seamstress doesnt work Heh  )
But I'm a little nervous undergoing such a task For me it HAS to be perfect |

| making your own hakama, now that's dedication. I sent my gi to the dry cleaners to have a patch sewn on. |
