The 360 spinning side-kick is one of the hardest technique since my momuntum is spinning me around, and it becomes a sweep more than a strike. Is there any "inside" tip that can help me???

Yea, spin your upper body around first, then bring your lower half to meet it. Keep your knee up and shoot it straight out from your body when you are on target. Some people even kick when their butt is pointed at the target.

please clarify........do you mean a 180 back side kick or a 360 spining heel kick? side kicks are usually 180 in either direction(front or back)using the back leg. of course, they can be used with the front leg also.

it sounds like your jump off leg is stopping your momentum (this is also the same leg you strike with in a 360 kick) if you dont know how to pivot correctly on your support leg while executing spinning kicks this sort of "changing into" a sweep kick commonly happens. the probblem is you are remaining flat footed on your spining foot..therefore it acts like a brake stopping the momentum and lowering your kick when it comes around to the front (or towards the target) you must practice spinning (with out kicking first) on the balls of your feet..start out in an exagerrated arch like a ballet dancer and just spin..concertrating on keeping that heel all the way off the floor..start out just doing this with regular spinning not 360 then as you adjust a get used to not putting that heel down then add a kick whether it be a hook wheel back it doesnt matter the initial excecution is the same....once you have mastered spinnining around with these kicks then again break it down into basic start with fighting stance..left foot foward right back...as you swing the right foward arch again and this time jump off the ball of the foot tuck your knees to your chest spin around and land into the same fighting stance(without kicking at first) then again as you get used to this add the kicks when doing this kick correctly the momentum built up makes this one of the more powerful kicks in taekwon do...the problem is everybody wants to do this beautiful kick and rush into it and develop alot of bad habits and form ..take your time break it down into parts good form is the key (i forgot to mention that you have to do this on both sides) good luck and train hard

Pizzaboy,
When you execute a basic standing side kick, without the jump, notice how you turn your hips over and lock the leg out and the kicking foot is down at a 45 degree angle while the standing foot is facing ther opposite direction as the kick.
Well, when you do a jump spinning side kick, to keep it from hooking or you say sweeping around, you must turn your hips over at the point of impact, that will keep your leg from hooking around. you jump, turn-spinning, spot your head and the moment you SEE your target- side kick and turn your hips over. This is a very effective kick and dangerous, use it wisely. hope this helps.
Peace,
Jerry
