May I ask why you wouldn't hit a female? Is it on moral reasons?
Going into a fight with someone hell bent on hurting you and not wanting to defend yourself doesn't seem right to me. No matter whether they are male or female. There's only so many punches you can try to dodge. |
It is moral reasons, yes.
And it is defending myself. Blocking all the punches I can. You just may see it differently than I do. It's just my belief. You don't think it's right, good for you, you knock that crazy chick out haha.
And to KUMA. I used to mainly fight in many as an amateur, mainly the EFC in Paducah, KY. As a professional I fought in the IWFL.[/quote] _________________ Perfect Practice makes Perfect. |

Gotcha. Small world, I know some of the guys from Fusion MMA and have met Carson Gainey before. He's a tough wrestler.
The only problem with the morality issue is, she may not share the same idea. I shared this article previously in this thread, but it bears repeating:
http://www.policeone.com/close-quarters-combat/articles/1877110-Female-suspects-They-CAN-hurt-you/
Sufficient to say you are greatly underestimating women in general. |

That's fair enough. Although I personally would see taking her out as soon as possible and ending it as the safer option for both of you. Trying to block and dodge her punches and kicks seems like a losing strategy as something will get through and you will get hurt. If you go in and say straight off that you will not hit them simply because they are female puts you on the back-foot immediately.
And for the record. I am female so you can bet I'll be trying to take the other crazy chick out. _________________ "Everything has its beauty, but not everyone sees it." ~ Confucius |

I actually fought Carson Gainey. Very good wrestler. Just laid on me for 3 rounds, but still an amazing base.
Blocking and dodging punches can go far. I just said I wouldn't hit a female. I'll push to get some space.
I've been in two fights with a female, and it's worked out. We just have different opinions. _________________ Perfect Practice makes Perfect. |

I'm a girl, and people always seem to punch me in a place that I'd rather not be punched. They do it on purpose, and it's always a guy who does it. They scream my name, and when I look over, they touch me and they think it's funny... _________________ Tang Soo Do - Red Belt (2nd GUP) |

If I had to hit a female in self defense I would probably give her a low kick to her mid lower leg. I wouldn't full on punch her in the face, just give her a leg kick to put her on her butt so she knows to not mess with me. |

That's completely unacceptable behavior, and you don't have to put up with it. _________________ "Anything worth doing is worth doing badly." - Baleia |

sounds to me as if they have a clear ..intention!
A kick I do in my system that you could do in return is called 'kin geri'...oddly the girls in system I study have a perfect understanding of its use!
Maybe you should scream there name and ...kin geri!
I've said in this thread all are equal, I still hold to that, I would expect nothing less in return, I'll add when I fight girls, I strike arms legs and ribs(side).
As they strike me and not 'that area' I will not strike them and not 'there' area!

Exactly... BTW, FangPwnsAll7, is this related to the issue you wrote about here (http://www.karateforums.com/my-story-vt45428.html)? _________________ Remember the Tii!
