Hi, does anyone know how to make a home made kick/strike shield?
Many many years ago as a kid, I remember using some white foam with a belt wrapped around it to make a cross. Anyone have any knowledge of how to make these, as they seem cheap and easy to make and can be softer on the kids knuckles than some of the more vinyl type of shields.

Thanks

Have you looked for any instructions online? I'd imagine some creative (and handy) instructor has come up with some plans on how to make some.

I bought my daughters a pair of MMA type gloves. They’re like a lycra material. Century brand, women’s small, very little padding. $15 or so. My daughter was 6 or so at the time and they fit her fine. It kept her hands from getting burned from the kicking shield and focus mitts.

I tried putting a t-shirt and other stuff over the shield without much success. The gloves worked great.
