...one counter against an overwhelming force?
Whom defines it as an "Overwhelming force"? Imho, the one whom the overwhelming force is directed at.
Do we face the overwhelming force with an equal overwhelming force of our own?
Do we run away and hide from an overwhelming force, when the moment to flee reveals itself?
Do we just accept the overwhelming force, and hope that all will be well at the end?
I believe that each of us will have different answers, but, that's ok because we're different as individuals. Hopefully we know our limitations just as well as we know ourselves.
When the battle is brought to you; what will you do?
Any thoughts?

Scream like a little girl and whimper helplessly while cringing, so to make the overwhelming force look like a dangerous bully? Do some awesome looking movements to make it look like you actually could almost stand up to it and were oh so brave to try? _________________ "Anything worth doing is worth doing badly." - Baleia |

And if that doesn't work, keep shooting, then throw your gun at it. |

Give us some context, Bob.
For the more proverbial overwhelming forces, I try to skip straight to grief and acceptance, cause denial, anger, and bargaining get you nowhere. _________________ My fists bleed death. -Akuma |

I dunno, I figure that if I can't beat it, I can either make it socially expensive to attack me, or I can act to gain favor with its enemies. _________________ "Anything worth doing is worth doing badly." - Baleia |

Ok more serious now.
Do we face the overwhelming force with an equal overwhelming force of our own?
If I am capable of equaling the force, then it's not truly overwhelming. I don't like being on equal terms when force is involved, so escalate give a chance for the enemy to retreat, then neutralize the threat.
Do we run away and hide from an overwhelming force, when the moment to flee reveals itself?
If possible, yes, unless I'm defending others. With the exception being castle doctrine, in which case, scream like a little girl and shoot it.
Do we just accept the overwhelming force, and hope that all will be well at the end?
No. _________________ My fists bleed death. -Akuma |

Sorry MP...I don't have any specific context, just a general question and then I hope that the KF members bring the thread more to a theme...sorry for the general context.

General question eh? GET THE HELL OUT OF THE WAY! If a truck is coming straight at me at 60 mph, I'm not gonna stand there and try to stop it. I'm not Superman. The same could be said about many other situations: Simply don't be there. As the saying goes, if you play with fire, expect to be burned. Just like how if you hang out with the wrong kind of people, expect to get your butt kicked sooner or later. |
